» About Sean

Sean Pertwee is a British actor and voice over artist who's well known for playing lead parts in Cadfael, Dog Soldiers, 7 Days To Live or Event Horizon. More recently he's starring in Botched (alongside Stephen Dorff), When Evil Calls and Mutant Chronicles (to be released 2008).

He was born on 4. June 1964 in London as son of the actor Jon Pertwee, who played the 3rd Dr. Who. His mother (Ingeborg) is German.

Sean's married to Jaquie Hamilton-Smith since 1999. Both have a son born around Christmas 2001 named Alfred (after Alfred the Great), but Sean's used to call him 'Freddie'. Freddie is a twin, unfortunatlely his brother Gilbert died in April 2002.

Sean is a very popular voice-over artist and anyone who has ever heard his fantastic, unique voice knows why (this man could just read out from the London phone book and I'd melt away...) He's done several TV commercials and as well given his voice to some computer game characters, among others 'Killzone' (Sony).

He's part of the famous 'Britpack' alongside Ewan McGregor, Jude Law and Jonny Lee Miller. They're founder of 'Natural Nylon', a movie production company (1997-2003) and played together in several movies (Blue Juice, Shopping, Love Honor & Obey...).

Usually Sean doesn't sing in his movies, but in Love Honor & Obey he's performing Bary Gray's song Fireball XL5. That's in fact a highlight for every Sean-fan, not just because of his famous 'F*** you London!!!' at the end, so check it out here, it's really funny!

I've recognized Sean for the first time in the UK independent werewolf shocker 'Dog Soldiers' (2002) and, well, I think I've lost a major part of my heart on that day to Sgt. Wells... This tough soldier is one of my favorite movie characters ever!
